Our client is a distribution specialist providing quality specialty, engineering and commodity thermoplastics for small- to medium-sized applications across North America, Canada & Mexico. The company is seeking a Systems Analyst Programmer to develop, maintain, and support our ERP solution and integrated third party applications. In addition, develop reports utilizing a variety of reporting systems, including SSRS, Crystal Reports and Power BI. This role will be responsible for integration analysis, development, testing, debugging and fixing integrations between the company’s ERP platform (Epicor P21) and existing systems as well as enhancing the core web functionality of P21. This position is a fulltime, permanent hire.
Responsibilities:
- Integral part of software and application vision and strategy that is responsible for driving technology to help accelerate our growth plan and assist in the back-up of other technology areas when necessary
- Assists in day-to-day operations as troubleshooting problems arising from regular use, production support, and maintaining applications
- Work closely with product owners and internal stakeholders to understand their information needs and develop technical solutions
- Cross-train internal stakeholders regarding usage of our systems, and best practices
- Research best practices to identify and implement capabilities that drive optimization of processes and automation throughout the organization including existing and emerging technologies
- Develop solutions to enhance ERP and surrounding applications
- Understand internal and external customer pain-points; anticipates customer’s needs and proactively design solutions
- Engage ERP and Line of Business Partners to resolve issues and drive improvements
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
- Prepare documentations and specifications
- Develop and maintain reports for SSRS and Crystal Reports
- Develop reports for PowerBI, Power Apps and other technology
- Interact with additional BI and data warehouse systems.
- Long range planning for scalability and availability of critical business databases
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience with Visual Studio – C#/.Net MVC, SQL Server, XML, Angular etc.
- Experience in SQL Server Stored procedures and functions
- Hands-on experience with web API
- Strong understanding of User environment and processes since relational databases impact all aspects of the process from quote to delivery to the customer
- Experience with both office and warehouse/distribution center operation and the technology required to maximize their efficiency
- Experience promoting consistency and collaboration between functional departments and IT with primary focus on optimizing business processes supported by information technology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and capable of troubleshooting database and reporting issues
- Self -starter who takes initiative and is proactive.
- Working knowledge of Source control tools
